Day 3 - Yakima to Boise

Emma's morning constitutional - by the Yakima riverside.

Orchards, vineyards and hopyards all sleeping together.

Once again, a crossing of the Columbia, our annual rite of passage, this time at Plymouth.

Not too long ago you couldn't find espresso no where no how in these here parts. Not sure if you can call this progress or not.

Fresh or fried - good to see all food choices present themselves along the interstate.

Just come on inn - we don't bite - promise. Really.

The last pit stop of the day.

When the US Government decides to go back to work, the local supply of Bull quickly balloons, leading to these fire sales. Ain't nuthin' like a Bull Bubble.

Giant reptiles lie in wait along the Interstate, hunting their usual prey: UPS trucks. They look like chocolate.

The little village next to our hotel.

An attempt to kayak up a waterfall. Harder than it looks.

Emma's evening constitutional after a long day on the road - it's all a blur now.

It says "steakhouse", but that's a big understatement - they also fly in a selection of fresh fish from Hawaii every day. Oh, and the "steak" is actually Snake River Wagyu. And they make souffle. And there's a live jazz quartet. And it didn't cost a fortune.
